William A. Simon, 66, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away peacefully at his home on August 26, 2026. He was born on February 12, 1960, in Wichita, Kansas, to Patricia and William Simon.

William graduated from East High School in Wichita and went on to work as a general contractor. He was a talented and hardworking man who had a gift for building, repairing, and creating. He especially enjoyed woodworking and had a remarkable ability to fix almost anything.

William also loved to travel and enjoyed the experiences and memories made along the way. He will be remembered for his many talents, his willingness to lend a helping hand, and the lasting impression he made on those who knew and loved him.

William is survived by; his wife, Bonnie Lou Simon; his children, Angela C. Calhoun (David), Johnathan Simon, and Joseph K. Simon; as well as many extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by; his parents, Patricia J. Brandt and William E. Simon; and his children, William Anthony “Tony” Simon, Michael Bradly “Brad” Simon, and Gregory Brent "Brent" Simon.

A celebration of life will be held from 2-4 p.m. on September 11, 2026, at Baker Funeral Home West, 3224 N Tyler Rd., in Wichita, Kansas 67205.

William will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
