It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mom, Yolanda “Londie” Florez, at the age of 77.

Yolanda was born on October 26, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois, to John Florez and Margaret (Hernandez) Florez.

Yolanda was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them. We cannot forget her beloved fur babies, either. She will always be remembered for her strength, generosity, and love for Jehovah and the Scriptures. An avid Bible reader, she held firmly to the resurrection hope and the promise of eternal life in paradise.

She was preceded in death by; her parents, John Florez and Margaret (Hernandez) Florez; and her sisters Rafaila Cortez (Raul) and Manuela Ramirez.

She is survived by; her sister, Lydia Pico; her three children, John Florez, Angelique Trevino (Steve), and Veronica Florez; her grandchildren, Brittany Trevino, Steven Trevino, Megan Jones (Brandon), Takoda Espinosa, Jayden Florez, and Madison Florez; her great-grandchildren, Alexandra Mewhinney, Steven Trevino, and Koa Jones; as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Her legacy will continue to live on through each of them.

Yolanda was the heart of her family, and her presence brought comfort, laughter, and warmth to those around her. She had a way of making people feel cared for and loved without ever having to say it, and the memories she created with her family will remain with them forever. Being a mother and grandmother brought her immense joy, and the love she gave to her children and grandchildren will remain a part of them forever.

She leaves behind a family who will miss her more than words can express and who will feel the pain of her absence deeply.

Although saying goodbye feels impossible, we are incredibly grateful for the years, memories, lessons, and unconditional love and strength she showed us. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and she will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Until we meet again, we will carry you with us in everything we do and love you always.

Revelation 21:4: “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

A memorial service will be held on September 5, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at The North Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, located at 3040 N. Jackson Avenue, Wichita, Kansas 67204.
